Building up the Monastery

Our Corner of the Vineyard

Since its founding in 1976, the Saint Benedict Center in Harvard, Massachusetts, has expanded from three acres to nearly 100. The Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, built by the Brothers of MICM, serves as the monastery’s spiritual center. In the 1980s, Saint Elizabeth’s Convent was established for the Sisters, and the original ranch house school was enlarged in the 1990s. The Saint John Bosco Woodshop and Mechanic Shop followed, along with the creation of Mancipia Press in the early 2000s.

Saint Benedict of Nursia

Between 2004 and 2008, the Montfort Retreat was developed in New Hampshire for camp programs. 2010, ground was broken for MacIsaac Hall & Gym, and the high school grades moved in by 2017. We are presently building a significant addition to the IHM Elementary School.

Work for God

Saint Joseph the Worker, pray for us!

Remember, O most pure spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, my great protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection, or implored your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding therefore in your goodness, I come before you. Do not turn down my petitions, foster father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them. Amen.
