Brothers Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Living for Jesus through mary

“O pleasant and delightful service of God, which makes a man truly free and holy! …O service worthy to be embraced and always desired, which leads to the supreme good and procures a joy that will never end!”

– Imitation of Christ

Radically Countercultural

The Brother Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

The life of a religious Brother consists of a voluntary renunciation of the things of this world through the vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience and embracing a life of total commitment to God alone. It is a radically countercultural calling from Christ that embraces devotion to complete self-sacrifice in imitation of the life of Jesus Christ Himself.

“Everyone that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for My Name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall possess life everlasting.” (Matt. 19:29)

About the Brothers

Fortes in Fide
Strong in the Faith

According our ecclesiastical statutes approved by Bishop Robert McManus of the Worcester Diocese, the purpose of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, is to promote “the glory of God, the perfection and salvation of its members through the spirituality of Saint Louis de Montfort, and the defense and propagation of the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church, as authentically taught and defined by the Church’s teaching magisterium. Through study and evangelization, the members provide religious instruction and carry out charitable activities for the sanctification and salvation of souls purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ.”

Work & Pray

Traditional Active Religious Life

The Brothers, Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, earnestly take to heart St. Benedict’s motto of “Ora et Labora” for finding that balance and union of Prayer and Work. A Brother’s prayer life is his principal work, while at the same time, his daily work transforms into a living prayer.

Spirit of Brotherhood

Working for Eternity

“Keep a clear eye toward life’s end. Do not forget your purpose and destiny as God’s creature. What you are in His sight is what you are and nothing more. Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take nothing that you have received… but only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage.”

~Saint Francis of Assisi
